Founders
Erik Erickson has been a part of numerous development efforts at LiquidMedia, TrenchantTraders, and now Artifice Investments™. He has also owned and operated a restaurant while working as an analyst at EMC in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Erik has lent his investing expertise to develop an autonomous equity trading strategy. Erik holds a BS in Business Administration, Finance from University of Colorado, Boulder and became a member of Mensa, a high IQ society, in 2003.
Daniel Jennings has worked at the renowned MIT Lincoln Laboratory and more recently for Raytheon. Dan holds a BS in both Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts, and continues toward a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from WPI. Dan is a member of several honor societies including: Upsilon Pi Epsilon, for computer science, Eta Kappa Nu, for electrical and computer engineering, and Tau Beta Pi, for engineering. His research interests include the application of artifice intelligence techniques, including neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, and ontological reasoning, to the fields of finance and investing.
Our Story
Dan and Erik met for the first time at a Barnes & Noble bookstore after mutual friends convinced them they needed to speak with one another. Erik, having an advanced financial background and autonomous investing development experience, and Dan, a computer scientist specializing in artificial intelligence, planned a short meeting over coffee to discuss the current state of investing. The meeting went for hours, discussing everything from hedge funds to fractal analysis. Dan and Erik left knowing there was a need in the market place that they could help with: Artifice Investments™ was born.
